This project represents a fusion of nature, through the design and construction of a vertical garden composed of four modules that are connected to the ground by planters.

The objective of project

The aim of this project is to create an innovative and sustainable vertical garden, consisting of four modules that are connected to the ground through planters. Through the use of the “Grodan” hydroponic growing panel and the integration of irrigation blankets, we seek to optimise water retention and drainage of the substrate, ensuring an even and balanced distribution throughout the vertical garden.

Description of the proposal

The “Grodan” hydroponic growing panel is used as a water retention layer and substrate for the vegetation, which stands out for its lightness and water retention capacity of up to 80%.

To optimise the moisture management and drainage of this substrate, it has been decided to integrate an irrigation blanket both on the back of the module and between the substrate layers. This technique ensures an even distribution of water, redirecting the excess and guaranteeing a balanced retention throughout the substrate. In addition, the felt used is specially designed to prevent rotting, and its exceptional capillarity allows for homogeneous water distribution.

This planting has been meticulously selected to provide a variety of textures, colours and fragrances, ensuring an enriching visual and olfactory experience for all observers. This vertical garden is not only a work of landscaping, but also a witness to how technology and nature can harmonise in a unique and sustainable environment.
