The object of the project is the drafting of the project for the construction of a therapeutic garden. It is an outdoor space designed so that the physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs of people admitted to a health structure helps them to maintain contact with reality and provides psychophysical well-being to users, that is, patients, relatives and professionals healthcare workers.
A new outdoor space is created to provide psychophysical well-being to users, bothpatients, family members and health professionals.
Studies provide results on the effects and benefits of therapeutic gardens:
The garden we propose is not a monolithic structure, but consists of differentenvironments and spaces that make it especially dynamic: spaces to be and talk, spaces forexperiment with plants, spaces to contemplate (and let the time go), paths to walk… All accompanied by a wide variety of plant species that not onlyallow us to enjoy it from the garden itself but also constitute a new vision from the rooms that surround it and, consequently, an objective improvement also for those who cannot enjoy it directly and who must do it from the bed.
In this sense, the need to guarantee its intimacy has also been taken into account, ofmeans that the general space has been designed and has been provided with elements that help to distract the vision of the rooms by the users of the garden (elements of gardening raised that, without forming plant walls, allow to break the direct vision of the rooms.
In order that the use of the garden is not limited to good weather, pergolas will be installed that will allow us to protect ourselves when it suits us and that, in fact, will be those that will guarantee the creation of diverse spaces where it is, apart from the various points of direct experimentation.
